JOANNE MCFARLAND is a painter and poet working in the Gowanus section of Brooklyn, NY. Her latest poetry collection, Acid Rain, received Honorable Mention in the inaugural 2009 Cave Canem Northwestern University Press Second Book Award. Her collection Watermarks was chosen as finalist by Cornelius Eady in the 2002 Associated Writing Programs Award Series. Her artwork is included in many private and public collections, among them the Library of Congress, the Columbus Museum of Art, and the Department of State.
